Luis Pastor is the Founding Partner of Luis Pastor Advisors, a firm specialized in strategic consulting for Credit Unions and other Financial Institutions in US, Puerto Rico, and Latin America.
Previously, Luis was the first President and CEO of Latino Community Credit Union (LCCU) and Executive Director of Latino Community Development Center (LCDC). During Luis’ tenure, LCCU became an international model for inclusion and immigrant empowerment by offering its members a full range of bilingual financial products and services to help them enter the financial mainstream and thrive. Under his leadership the credit union grew from $2 million to manage close to $1 billion in assets and served approximately 120,000 members, providing more than $1.3B in loans with an enviable 99.2% repayment rate.
In 2015, Luis was selected as one of the most influential credit union leaders over the past 25 years. Luis has served on multiple national and local boards and is regularly invited to participate in panel discussions and working groups focused on financial opportunity and immigrant empowerment. In 2021, Luis was appointed to serve on the White House’s CDFI Advisory Board, where he played a key role in elevating the Latino voice.
Luis, a native of Spain, holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from CUNEF (Madrid, Spain), a Masters in Human Resources from CEF (Madrid, Spain), an MBA from Instituto de Empresa (Madrid, Spain), and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University.
