Ambika Nair (she/they) is a Community Development Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where she conducts research and data analysis on the financial well-being of low- and moderate-income communities. Her work focuses on credit and banking access, financial innovations, vulnerability to environmental and socioeconomic shocks, and broadband affordability. Ambika has co-authored research on credit insecurity in the United States and leads quantitative and qualitative studies exploring the intersections of community financial health, environmental risks, and socioeconomic vulnerabilities. Prior to her current role, Ambika served as a Senior Research Assistant for the Payment Systems and Financial Risks Divisions at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. She holds an M.A. in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia University and a B.A. in International Affairs and Economics, with honors, from George Washington University.
