Education
Aurelio Arroyo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and completed all coursework toward a Master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras. He also earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and is a Certified Personal Finance Coach.
Experience
He began his career at Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Jesús Obrero in 2005, serving in roles including Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Officer and Vice President of Administration. Since 2009, he has served as the institution’s Chief Executive Officer. He has also been a professor in the Extension Program at the Institute of Cooperativism, University of Puerto Rico, since 2014.

Mr. Arroyo has been an invited speaker at cooperative forums in the Caribbean, the United States, and Puerto Rico. His speaking topics include Sustainability, Financial Models for Renewable Energy Transition, Community Resilience, Affordable Housing, Cooperative Financial Inclusion, Fintech, Secondary Capital, Shared Branch Models, Business Loans, Cooperative Identity and Management, and Investment Strategies.
