56 million Americans will see rising energy bills in 2026 (CBS News), at a time when many credit union members were already being squeezed by soaring energy costs. The good news: your credit union can help. Most credit unions already offer loan products that may help their members lower electricity and natural gas bills.
Join this special mini training to learn from credit union professionals on how to help your members cut energy costs. Gain new skills and earn a certificate from Inclusiv’s Learning Center.
This interactive and engaging session introduces the fundamentals of how credit union lending can help connect members to energy cost savings. You will learn the basics of practical technologies that may lower household energy costs and improve home comfort. Technologies covered include high-efficiency appliances, efficient heating, ventilation, and cooling (HVAC) systems, weatherization, and solar power.
If you choose to complete a brief assessment at the end of the session, you will earn a Fundamentals of Affordable Energy Lending certificate.
This mini training draws from the Inclusiv Learning Center’s industry leading and nationally recognized 8-week “Green Home Consumer Lending” training course that Inclusiv offers in partnership with the Center for Impact Finance.
