Description
In this breakout session, Neighborhood Trust, New Orleans Firemen's Federal Credit Union, and Opportunity Knocks will co-present a deep dive on financial coaching and the successful ways it can be implemented by credit unions.
First, Neighborhood Trust will introduce its Pathways for Financial Empowerment program, a technical assistance model delivered in collaboration with Inclusiv that empowers credit unions and CDFIs to establish their own financial coaching programs by providing expert training and a robust outcomes-tracking platform. Neighborhood Trust will also share its vision for the power of financial coaching in supporting the visibility and reach of inclusive financial services, particularly as it relates to connecting people to the inclusive products best fit for their needs and goals.
Building on this framework, New Orleans Firemen's Federal Credit Union will share its firsthand experience utilizing the Pathways program to deliver high-impact coaching to their members. They will highlight the credit union’s operational journey and the specific ways they have integrated these services to improve member financial health outcomes, while also boosting the visibility of their products and services.
Finally, the Opportunity Knocks will showcase the new financial coaching resources they are currently developing to enable financial coaches embedded within credit unions to unlock the full potential of the tools available to them.
