Deborah Fears President/CEO, Chicago Post Office ECU Deborah Fears currently serves as President/CEO of Chicago Post Office Employees Credit Union. With more than 20 years of experience in finance, accounting and human resources management, she has spent the last several years focused on credit union growth and sustainability - while working to cultivate an environment of financial wellness for all. Deborah received an MBA in Business Strategy and Decision Making, and a B.S. in Finance with minor studies in Japanese, both from DePaul University. She holds the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation from Americas Credit Unions, and is a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE). Deborah is involved with various credit union boards and committees within the industry. She serves as a Board Director for the Illinois Credit Union League and is the current Chapter President for the Midwest Regional Chapter of the African American Credit Union Coalition. She is also the Chair Emeritus for America’s Credit Union’s Small Credit Union Committee. Deborah has a strong belief in the credit union’s mission of ‘People Helping People’ and works each day to do so in the communities where she lives, works and serves.
