Jennifer Gerson, Director of Community Engagement at Dade County Federal Credit Union, has devoted over 20 years to advancing the credit union movement. Drawing on her expertise in marketing and community development, she has worked tirelessly to drive meaningful change. Her steadfast commitment has strengthened both DCFCU and the broader community. Jennifer leads all CDFI efforts at DCFCU, launching programs that uplift underserved communities. She was instrumental in creating the forgivable Home Purchasing Assistance Program, which offered up to $100,000 to first-time homebuyers in low-income areas. Additionally, Jennifer championed the Payday Rescue Program, helping members break free from predatory lending cycles, and oversees small business lending initiatives that provided $10.4 million in funding in 2025. Jennifer is a respected leader in the industry, serving as President of the LSCU Southernmost Chapter of Credit Unions and as past President of the Broward Chapter. She is also an engagement committee member for the Impact Foundation, and serves on several local chamber and business association boards, as well as Bank On and the South Florida CDFI Coalition steering committees. As a passionate advocate for the credit union movement, Jennifer leads chapter-level advocacy efforts, maintains strong relationships with the league & local representatives. Jennifer’s infectious energy, deep respect for people, and relentless drive to help others make her an invaluable leader.
