Mike Cruz is the Interim President and CEO of Seattle Credit Union, a $1.1 billion CDFI, LID, and Juntos Avanzamos credit union serving more than 47,000 members across the Puget Sound region. The son of Salvadoran immigrants, Mike began his career at Bank of America and US Bank, spent nearly a decade as a federal regulator at the NCUA and FHFA, and then moved into the credit union movement through senior risk leadership at Credit Union of Southern California before joining Seattle Credit Union as CFO. Today his work centers on expanding affordable homeownership, small business lending, and credit access for immigrant and underserved families. He holds an MBA in Finance, a CFA charter, and serves on the SCU Foundation board.
