Brian Devereux, SVP/Chief Lending Officer (he, him, his) Brian joined Unitus as the Chief Lending Officer in September 2013. He is responsible for leading the development and execution of lending strategies that deliver exceptional value to the membership. As Chief Lending Officer, Brian oversees credit administration and risk management, pricing, promotion and delivery systems for direct and indirect consumer, business, mortgage, lending and commercial payment services. Brian’s background includes more than 35 years in leadership focused on the financial services industry, most recently serving as EVP, Chief Operating Officer for Seattle Bank and EVP, Chief Operating Officer for Columbia Bancorp. In those roles, he led service innovation and growth strategies guiding information technology, marketing, community relations, retail delivery, as well as the culture and technical integration of six mergers, core and online banking conversions. Brian started his career in financial services regulation where he served five years as a commissioned Bank Examiner for the FDIC’s Division of Supervision in the San Francisco region where he led safety and soundness, consumer compliance, and electronic data processing examinations. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the University of Oregon and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Portland. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma National Honor Society for collegiate schools of business. Brian serves on the Board Finance Committee of Currencē, a CUSO, which is the nation’s only aggregator of the Visa Debit Processing Service platform for credit unions. He serves on the national Credit Union Advisory Board for TransUnion and is a member of the American Credit Union Mortgage Association (ACUMA). Additionally, Brian is involved in other industry advisory boards and is an active member of the CUNA Lending Council.
