Ryan Duncan is the Assistant Director for Asset Building Programs in the Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE) at the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection where he leads Annual Tax Season Initiatives and the NYC Free Tax Prep programs for Individuals & Families and Self-employed filers. Ryan also previously worked in New York City government as part of the inaugural team that launched Pre-K for All, a transformative policy that expanded access to early childhood education for thousands of families across the city. Ryan holds a BA in political Science and communications from Boston College, and a master’s degree in public policy from the Hertie School of Governance and spent nearly a decade working internationally in Berlin, Germany, before returning to the U.S. to continue his work in public affairs and community impact.
