Description
Across the country, severe weather-related disasters have been steadily increasing, causing more damage and destruction for credit unions and their members. At the same time, the cost of homeowners insurance has shot up 70% since 2021 (CBS News), reducing housing affordability and making recovery from disasters even more difficult for low- and moderate-income communities.
Join us for an informative panel with credit union professionals and the American Property Casualty Insurance Association to explore the evolving insurance landscape and what it means for your members. Learn why building disaster resilience must be a collaborative, community-driven effort, and gain practical strategies to help members prepare for and recover from disasters. Participants will then break into small groups where they will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, best practices, and ways to support each other as they navigate this rapidly changing environment.
