Financial empowerment programs deliver meaningful value to members and communities, but sustaining and scaling this work requires more than strong outcomes. It demands a deliberate strategy to engage partners, align stakeholders, and position these services as essential to community well-being. This session examines how credit unions can design and implement a community impact and partnership strategy to support the long-term sustainability of financial empowerment programs. Drawing on examples from CDCUs who have leveraged their financial inclusion and empowerment programs to deepen and expand impact, we will explore how to connect program impact to broader community priorities and leverage those connections to strengthen relationships with members, community-based organizations, funders, and other key stakeholders.
