Don Griffin is Sr. Department Vice President and Project Coordinator in the Policy, Research, and International Division of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), where he helps guide public policy development for the property and casualty insurance industry. APCIA is the largest property and casualty insurance trade association, representing more than 1,200 member companies nationwide whose members write more than 67 percent of U.S. property and casualty insurance.

Working with member companies, Don and the Policy, Research, and International team are responsible for shaping APCIA’s public policy priorities. He brings nearly 45 years of insurance industry experience, including more than 28 years with APCIA and prior leadership experience in sales, product development, and management at both agency and company levels.

Before joining APCIA, Don worked in commercial and personal lines product development for California Casualty Management Group in San Mateo, California. His earlier experience includes personal lines management with Hall’s Insurance Agency, Inc. in southeast Texas, business insurance sales with Liberty Mutual, and life insurance sales with Integon Life Insurance Co.

Don’s professional qualifications include membership in the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) and he also holds the ARC, ARe, ARM, and AU designations.
