Hilary Parker is CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Dane County, a $17 million affordable housing nonprofit based in Madison, Wisconsin. Her career has taken an unconventional path across sectors, with leadership roles spanning solar energy, arts management, landscape and wildlife conservation, marketing, and journalism before joining Habitat Dane in 2023.

Across that varied experience runs a common thread: a belief in the power of bold ideas to create stronger, more equitable communities. At Habitat Dane, Hilary brings that perspective to the organization’s work to expand access to affordable homeownership and address the region’s growing housing needs.

Outside of work, Hilary fuels her passion for imagining a better world through poetry, abolitionist nonfiction, and deep time in nature.
