Emmy Swift is a passionate and devoted leader of sustainable strategy and impact teams. After beginning her career in operational sustainability, Emmy was recruited to develop net zero pathways for American Family Insurance. Now, she oversees the management and execution of American Family Insurance's Sustainable Business Framework. Her work touches four primary areas, including Climate Impact and Resilience, Community Engagement, Inclusive Excellence, and Responsible Data AI and Innovation.

Outside of her work at American Family Insurance and earlier environmental work at Allstate, Emmy serves as a board member with the Sustainable Business Council, a nonprofit supporting businesses on their journey to be more ethical and sustainable, and Wisconsin Microfinance, an organization that supports women-led projects in Ghana, Pakistan, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and the Philippines.

A regular representative on leadership boards of sustainable business organizations, she advises the Business Roundtable's Environment and Energy Committee, as well as Triple I's Climate Resilience Advisory Committee and the Insurance Net Zero Working Group.

Emmy earned her Master of Science in Environmental Sustainable Management from Georgetown, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.
