Collaborating for Change: Driving Clean Energy Initiatives through CU System Partnerships

This workshop's objective is to explore the importance of strategic collaborations with CU leagues/associations in advancing new and necessary initiatives. We will highlight how partnerships can elevate the impact of projects, using the expansion of clean energy opportunities for CU as a key example. Participants will gain insights into how these collaborations increase awareness and accelerate the adoption of resilient solutions. Additionally, participants will hear firsthand from selected league representatives, who will share their strategies for engaging credit unions, discuss the regional benefits of clean energy lending opportunities, and highlight best practices from credit unions already leading in this space.

 

Breaking Down Barriers to Serving Immigrant Communities

As trusted financial institutions in immigrant communities, Juntos Avanzamos credit unions must be prepared to respond to shifting federal policies that may impact the people they serve. A proposed policy shift presents potential challenges that could undermine member trust, discourage tax compliance, and expose credit unions to operational and reputational risk.

This workshop will empower credit unions with the tools and knowledge to:

  • Educate and support immigrant members with confidence and clarity

  • Mitigate institutional risk and protect sensitive data

  • Build internal capacity to better serve immigrant communities in the long term

Participants will explore how to remove internal barriers, create a safe and welcoming environment, and establish durable relationships rooted in trust and inclusion. Through practical scenarios, policy analysis, and peer sharing, credit unions will leave better prepared to protect their members and themselves in uncertain times.

 

Building Strong Financial Coaching Programs

Financial empowerment programs and services like financial coaching can strengthen the financial well-being of your members and community. This workshop is tailored for Community Development Credit Unions (CDCUs) seeking to launch a new financial coaching program or strengthen an existing one. Participants will explore best practices in program design, resource requirements, and implementation strategies. Attendees will leave equipped with actionable strategies to advance financial empowerment through financial coaching programming.

 

High Impact Lending

Create transformative change in underserved communities through targeted lending practices. This workshop will focus on how credit unions can drive economic empowerment by financing affordable housing, small businesses, green loans, and other critical community needs. Learn from experts as they present innovative and case studies to demonstrate how high-impact lending can create lasting positive outcomes, reduce financial inequities, and foster sustainable growth.

 

CDFI Target Market Test through the lens of Inclusiv’s Financial Data Analytics Platform (FIDAP)  

Come one, come all: explore and discuss the latest with CDFI Certification and Recertification, with a particular focus on the Target Market Lending test. This workshop invites CDFI-certified credit unions and those interested in pursuing CDFI certification to learn more about the process, and how Inclusiv’s Financial Inclusion Data Analytics Platform (FIDAP) can assist. Attendees will participate in a hands-on workshop where they will learn more about CDFI approved Target Markets, methodologies, and how to analyze their own data against Target Market Metrics. Existing FIDAP users are encouraged to bring their laptops for a hands-on experience with the analytics system!
